While being hosted by the Influence and Advocacy department of Plan International Germany, the role is part of the Youth Team of Plan International’s Global Hub. This team, as part of the Global Programme Team, facilitates the transformation of Plan International into a youth-centred organization and offers services for the whole Plan Federation.

You will work in the highly motivated international Youth Team and collaborate intensely with colleagues from other offices around the globe.

As Programme Lead you will drive Plan International’s global gender transformative programme quality, impact, alignment, scale and resourcing for and with young drivers of change (LEAD). Your tasks:
- Provide thought leadership and evolution for the thematic area “Girls, boys and youth as active drivers of change” (LEAD) in line with the youth-centred ambition
- Develop, maintain and support the uptake and use of global technical package on LEAD, containing narrative, results, indicators and tools
- Develop global standards and guidance and supporting their socialization processes across the organisation
- Develop, maintain and promote program and influenc models and good practices
- Collaborating with colleagues across other thematic areas to socialize LEAD and Youth Centredness, including in country strategies and document good practice
- Annual reporting processes to track global progress and trends in relation to Plan International’s global strategic ambition for the LEAD thematic area. And provide strategic reviews, portfolio analysis and evidence-based content to inform the direction and priorities and Plan’s youth centred priority
Your profile:
- Experience in developing, scaling or mainstreaming projects and programmes on child and/or youth participation that advance gender equality in national and/or international context
- Experience in programme and influence design, monitoring & evaluation, learnind and knowledge management
- Proven experience in international work environments in varied contexts and intercultural communication, including an understanding of NGO structures, the girls and women’s equality movement and the UN human rights and humanitarian system
- You are a teamplayer, with the ability to prioritise and to facilitate complex processes as well as excellent skills in communication and analysis
- A degree or equivalent experience in human rights, political science, international development, or other specific field relevant to Plan International’s work
- Fluency in English, language skills in French, Spanish and/or German would be an asset
